Been watching you since 1992 & have enjoyed your weather ever since. Good luck in retirement you’ll love it.

You’ve been the only weatherman I’ve known since retiring here years ago! A knowledgeable and dependable face telling me how to plan my day. Guess I will just have to stay in bed without your guidance. Success on your retirement. You’re one of the best!
-Dan Bowles

I loved him for the last 30 years…..He was so calm and reassuring for every hurricane. The only one I trusted! Plus, I love his personality and I bet he is really funny off air.

What a loss to SWFL. Nobody did, or will do, hurricane coverage as well as Jim. A Trustworthy, compassionate, straightforward analyses, dependable. He will be greatly missed. Best wishes, Jim.

So sad to see Jim go 😔(but happy for him)! I’ve been through every Hurricane with Jim the past 20 plus years and always trusted him the most. You could always count on him for the truth with a calming demeanor. You will be greatly missed Jim! Good luck and have a wonderful retirement!

I’m almost in tears to learn of Jim’s retirement because it’s like a family member leaving State! Happy for the one leaving to go to their next phase in life but tremendously saddened to lose someone you have come to trust, respect and rely on for their heartfelt concern, intelligence and honesty. Best of luck, health & happiness, Jim!

We’re going to miss you, Jim. WINK just won’t be the same. I’m so sad.
-Carol Tarusevich
I’m gonna miss you, Jim. I’ve depended on your reliable forecasts since moving to Naples in 2000. My first experiences with hurricanes was less frightening with your calmness along with that of Lois and Jim McLaughlin and later Chris as well as so many of your fellow employees at WINK. Thanks and enjoy your retirement as I have enjoyed mine. You will be amazed at how busy you stay and will wonder how you ever had the time to work!
